The Collective, sometimes referred to as the Umbruke Collective, is an immense and highly advanced galactic power comprising numerous enslaved or integrated species.

Society and Government[]
The Collective is a totalitarian and utilitarian hive mind, restricting individualism, controlling the population, and is based entirely on functionality rather than grace.
The Collective has a major planet within its territory known as Nucleus Alpha, which serves as the empire's headquarters and the homeworld of the Umbrogian species, the Collective's founders.
The Collective's advanced organisation allows for tremendous efficiency in action and deliberation. Each drone functions separately according to its instructions, it could be processing information, performing physical actions, or focusing its energy toward other objectives all at once.
This results in the Collective's adept method to consider multiple courses of action before committing to any one course. By focusing its resources on the threat at hand, they can stop all opposition by extreme military force and their numbers.
Territory and Population[]
Because of the thousands upon thousands of worlds the Collective occupies, their population reaches the double digit trillions. Using hyperspace technology, the Collective developed one way 'expansion nodes' to widen their borders. These 'expansion nodes' form a 'hyper network' within the Collective's territory, allowing them access between their colonies.
Technology[]
The Collective's technology is a hybrid of other technologies from other civilisations and modified within the Collective for more efficient use. When confronted by a problem it cannot solve with its existing resources, the entire Collective works in unison to consider all possible solutions and implement the one determined to be the most efficient.
