Drekken'oni, or known as Drekkenicus Onalisa by it's scientific term, is an apex predator indigenous to Armaan. The name Drekken roughly translates to 'Dominant', whilst Oni converts to 'Lizard'. The name was given to the predatory animal after its reputation as a powerful pack hunter. Their upper jaw opens and closes to ingest food, while the bottom remains static. Attached to the front of 'roof' is a large tooth. The tooth is used to get a strong 'grip' on their preys skin. It's sharp enough to puncture through the thickest of skin. The eyes can transtition from monocular or binocular vision, meaning they can view objects with either eye inependently. Drekkenicus Onalisa have sharp talons, which can provide stability when climbing trees. Drekkenicus Onalisa have little to no perception, but have been observed to show great intelligence when hunting. But, it has showed no intelligence greater than that.

Male Drekkenicus Onalisa reach full maturity at the age of 15 years. Females reach their maturity at the age of 13. To attract potenial mates, they use their striped feathers to attract the mate. If the colour of the feather does not appeal to the mate, it will simply wander off, to find a different one to attempt. If the mate succumbs to the attempt, they will begin to mate. It lasts for a total hour or two.

Armaan (planet):[edit | edit source]

Armaan is an abundant, tropical world. The ornate biomes provide a large plethora of food and resources. The planet was named after famous explorer David Lees daughter, Armaan. When he first docked on Armaans surface, he thought of how beautiful the planet was, and how his daughter was just the same.

Armaans natural temperature reaches the lengths of Earths.

Natural Behavior:[edit | edit source]

As said before, Drekkenicus Onalisa are pack hunters. They hunt by using diversions against their prey. When they begin stalking their prey, another will go much farther away. It will then attempt to mimick the sounds of a baby, calling for help. It will appear to vocalize it exactly like how a baby of the same species would do. The prey, thinking a baby is in danger, begins to follow the sound. These tactics are useful, as most of their prey on Armaan are slightly faster than them.
